Investec Champions Cup

Leinster Rugby 19-41 Union Bordeaux Bègles

Union Bordeaux Bègles go back to back

The reigning champions lifted the trophy for the second consecutive season as they proved too strong for Leinster Rugby at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao.

Five first-half tries were enough to seal the title as they shut the Irish province down in the second half.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey's delightful double, combined with scores from skipper Maxime LucuPablo Uberti and Yoram Moefana, put them in prime position in the first 40.

Leinster fought and fought, with Tommy O'BrienJoe McCarthy and Garry Ringrose touching down for the reigning URC champions.

But two penalties from the boot of Lucu in the second half were enough to see UBB over the line.

EPCR Challenge Cup

Montpellier Hérault Rugby 59-26 Ulster Rugby

Montpellier power to a third EPCR Challenge Cup title

Having gone into the break 26-12 up, Montpellier Hérault Rugby put their foot down in the second half to race to the trophy after an incredibly dominant season.

Gabriel N'Gandebe, Donovan Taofifenua, and Billy Vunipola went over in the first half before a second from Taofifenua continued their display early in the second half, along with Alex Becognee.

Lenni Nouchi broke through four minutes later as the French side stretched their legs, making it 40-12 and an up-hill battle for Ulster Rugby.

Robert Baloucoune sliced through the middle to reduce the deficit for Ulster.

Before Montpellier showed their power with a driving maul line-out finished by Baptiste Erdocio to make it 47-19 at the hour mark.

And the French weren't done as Wilfrid Hounkpatin powered over, with Ulster managing a consolation score through Mike Lowry, before Arthur Vincent put the cherry on top to make it 59-26 at full time.
